It is with great sadness that we inform the public that Green Gate Farm will cease operation effective December 31, 2009. Green Gate Farm has faithfully served the Delmarva Peninsula as the premiere Equine Assisted Growth and Learning non-profit center since its inception in 2002. Green Gate Farm has provided assistance to over 4000 clients seeking: addictions counseling, grief counseling, self-esteem for middle school aged girls, women’s groups, teambuilding and leadership training and even a summer camp for young children. Green Gate Farm is proud to have been a valuable resource to the community for over 7 years and will fulfill its obligations until the end of the year. During this time we will refer those who have used our services to other organizations serving the same purpose.

The decision for Green Gate Farm to close was not an easy one to make. Without being fully self-sufficient, we are unable to continue to offer services. Green Gate Farm sincerely thanks all those who have donated their time, resources and money to help GGF operate. We thank the community for its support, the Board of Directors for its guidance and Mike and Sue Hahn for their generosity and dedication in starting GGF and helping it serve the local community.

For those interesting in knowing where the horses are and what they are doing, here is a list of their current whereabouts and duties:
